Does anyone know of quicksand, deep mud, clay pits, quarries in Suffolk, UK near Bury St Edmonds - places that are as private as possible for some filming fun?
Hopefully somebody knows of something worth exploring.

I’m in Suffolk too so would be super excited to know of some...
There are some great mud flats out towards walberswick and a massive one outside great Yarmouth but don’t have the confidence to go alone and have nobody to go with!

Looking at the area on Good Earth. Every square foot within miles of Suffolk is developed or cultivated, and all the potential private sites I can see near canals or estuaries require crossing private farmland.
What you need is a farmer with our interest and a nice piece of land hidden in trees. Plenty of that seen about
"Lodge Road" near there looks promising. Bit of a walk, but you'd be far from homes and people.

The other spot is blythburgh - there’s the big estuary there but again a little too close to roads etc... there’s a pub a short walk from it where one could get a coffee and then go look at the surroundings!! If you want a coffee buddy just say!

Are there areas that are really deep. Any places to wash-up after?

It all looks exceptionally deep but I’ve never explored it as my life never allowed it but now I’m single there’s a massive part of me urging to go and finally try it.
Just have to wait for a good day off to do so.
As for places to wash up after I’m not sure either but from the satellite of the area there seems to be some places that would work.
Who’s up for a pub lunch and a ramble?

It would be so good to find somewhere private enough to go and get totally stuck and sinking in rubber waders. Maybe a trip up to Morcombe Bay I the quicksand would be a good idea. There must be areas around where you can get trapped and not drowned with the incoming tides.
Does any one have experience with quicksand and waders?

Oh Maria ~ I’ve found quicksand / quickclay in Wangford
Sank to my knees today but bottled it as solo sinking was too scary for more right now!!
I’ve just written about it but drop me a message if you want to go play or get some details!!

Not Suffolk, but if you fancy a trip down south to Essex, there are plenty of places for deep tidal mud.
