Wow, i totally missed that one!
Excellent scene. That whole mudbog strongly reminds me also of my own "swamps-of-sadness"-area i visit from time to time. It's totally plausible that this could be some floating forest atop a former lake-turned-peatbog.

I'm already chindeep in this mudbog and every desperate attempt to move my stuck legs only drives me deeper in. The thick mud slowly swamps my waders and my arms have nothing to hold onto.
