Interesting additions Duncan; I've never heard of either of those. The one with the house sinking in mud sounds like a huge let down :(

I can't remember which topic was active on this subject before the glitch, so I'll just use this one.

A New Leaf (1971)

A few times, Henry (Walter Matthau) is imagining how to get rid of his immensely wealthy Wife Henrietta (Elaine May) while on a canoe trip in the New England wilderness. Once, Henry imagines a bear (actually, "a silly man who needs a shave and wears a fur coat" (there's a reference in there somewhere lol)) coming out of the woods and attacking her, then again, he imagines a group of Indians doing the same (even though it was set in the 1970's?). But it would've been perfect if he'd imagined a third misfortune for her, where she blunders into quicksand, which as clumsy as Henrietta was, would not have been far fetched

As a catch-up post, let’s see the movies I previously posted, minus all the commentary:

Swamp Thing, of course (Adrienne Barbeau)
Sheena movie (Tanya Roberts)
Every old Tarzan movie except Hidden Jungle (many actresses)
The entire Jurassic Park series (Bryce Dallas Howard would have been best)
Tarzan the Ape Man (Bo Derek)
King Solomon’s Mines (original with Deborah Kerr, or 1985 with Sharon Stone)
King Kong (2005 with Naomi Watts)

I may be able to think up more, but that’s a (re)start.

Just think how good a list it would be if they weren’t “near miss” films!

Yeah, I had great hope for The Lost City. Sandra Bullock! . . . (sigh). There was even the prolonged scene with her wading through a jungle swamp, but no. It does not get my Oscar vote for best screenplay.
