Creepy. It sounds like a swampy skin walker. The things the world tells its children to keep them in line.

Isn't it amazing when parents don't want there kids near a stream, or a place where they will get dirty they will create a creepy spooky story to keep the kids close to home. But I grew up on a 19 acre farm, and when I heard a spooky story I had to investigate with some serious interest ;)
