The special effects he did for those movies were simply outstanding. Talk about enhancing the overall thrill and adventure by making the unbelieveable and the impossible things of fantasy happen on the screen.

I recall he once said that he wished he'd had a buck for every six-year old kid who'd ever said to him, "Mister Harryhausen, you don't know NUFFINK about pterodactyls, they didn't get that big, they didn't have bat-wings, and they didn't flap...."
