First time i actually sank was about 16 years ago. about a year later when i was 14, i stumbled upon the Deep sinking Yahoo group and also Kaols quicksand page and pretty much ive been sinking ever since.

im a lil bit lucky here there is an abundance of mud flats and such that are in my area. only thing that really sucked was the quarry i use to go to fixed the hole in there fence that i was sneaking into. that was some of the best clay ever :)

anyway, look forward to hearing ur first experience :)

Yeah I'm just having a hard time trying to find a good sinking spot as I moved to another state two years ago (I live in the U.S.) and I'm still not very familiar with everything. I could probably look back at the sinking map that's provided on this site to see if I could use a sinking spot that's closest to me but hopefully I'll be able to experience my first sink by next year.

God I hate fisherman.

I drive down to the river and hike back in about half a mile. Back to a great spot that's neck deep but no, stupid fisherman in a boat sitting there.

So I just made my own mud hole out behind my barn. No as good but completely private.
