I've seen the scene in its entirety... courtesy of Dave L's quicksand clip tapes. It is pretty awesome. When Pearl wades in and tugs at her legs when she is stuck, the bad guys first observe how she is heading for that "morass" ... then stand around laughing as she sinks to her chest... After they leave, she escapes by shooting the vine. :D

The scene that started it all for me was this scene and The Six Million Dollar Man...then Daisey Duke in quicksand was an adolescent Shangri La. lol

I don't think that will ever be shown on Sesame Street anymore, what with her having a gun and all.
