And I guess that was my point, in a roundabout way. They guy who decided to edit the clip didn't do anyone any favors - especially for this discussion.

But in a broader sense, it is important to realize that the DID fans here do indeed have a different angle than the traditional nitty gritty aggressive point of view. And as Duncan alluded to, that's not to say we're not gentlemen. But really, how convenient it must be to have fantasies that are extensions of the PC world we now live in. Sigh.

We grew up with these movies. Seeing this stuff on Saturday mornings was great. There was no gaming. Our 'controller' was a rotary knob on an old TV. And Tarzan was Tarzan. He was short on vocabulary and let his actions do the talking. He is anti-nuanced. Leave him alone. ;)

I'm unsure if perhaps the quoting system here might have something awry or f I'm just not reading it right, and not that it really matters, but I think it was Boppinabe who used the word "gropping." Dave said "feeling her up" which of course means about the same thing. I make this comment only for accuracy, not to be critical of anyone.

It doesn't matter to me, either way.

What's important is that it's not realistic to judge a 60 year old movie in today's social context.

Modern DID fans here do indeed have a different angle on quicksand scenes than the traditional nitty gritty aggressive point of view. And as Duncan alluded to, that's not to say we're not gentlemen. If millenials want to understand the older folks here, realize that we grew up with these movies. Seeing this stuff on Saturday mornings was great. There was no gaming. Our 'controller' was a rotary knob on an old TV. These movies were our video based adrenaline rush. And Tarzan was Tarzan. He was short on vocabulary and let his actions do the talking. ;)

Wow. I didn't expect my admittedly cheap and shitty edit to turn a fine scene into a madcap slapstick goof would induce such a response. I wasn't making social commentary or anything like that. I was just trying to get a cheap laugh. That's all.

My last comment was meant merely to clarify who said what, and not to say anthing about the comment itself.

I get that. I myself used "groping" rather than "feeling her up" for brevity.
