I remember there was a quicksand scene in the Artbook Dies Irae by Milo Manara as well... I've found the cover (shown) but my copy is buried somewhere...

I'm pretty sure I have the scans of this somewhere. I'll have a look.

Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure someone posted (other) scans of this here. Might be worth looking around. IIRC, they were adequate enough.
