i would have paid big money if they had put a sinking scene in Swamp Thing... there is a scene where Adrienne Barbeau is taking a bath in the lake... but what if she had been seen by the bad guys while getting out, and had to make a run for it, and blundered into a patch of quicksand...

If you read the Novel, there actually was supposed to be a QS scene in Swamp Thing, but Adrienne Barbeau didn't want to do it. I think it was when she first meets the swamp thing and is scared, and backs up into a marsh. There is a very quick moment when she is unsure of her footing, and swamp thing reaches out a hand to help, but she is still scared so the does not accept.

Oh, well.

I remember one part of the movie where she makes a comment about almost losing her shoe, and a guy walking with her tells her something like she has to be careful, and that there's a fair amount of quicksand in the area.
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

There was a quicksand scene in The Lost World, but it was a guy (Ned), and it was one of those scenes where he stumbled into it off screen and was already chest-deep by the time Roxton and What's-Her-Bucket got to him. Ned went under as Whosits was stretched out on her belly in the bog trying to reach him, with Roxton holding her ankles.

Lost, Law & Order, Bones definitely could've had one. Dexter.

We should petition the producers to have such a scene next season.

Buffy, SG-1, Farscape and a lot of other sci - fi shows could have had great potential for quicksand scenes but never had 'em. Especially Buffy and SG-1. :(

Actually Buffy did hsve a "quicksand" scene. It was CGI, and I believe Willow sank imto the floor. But I agree that all the above should have had something for heavens sake!

I think I'd go for "Charmed" because you could have three gorgeous babes sinking for the price of one, but if I had to choose it would definitely be Rose McGowan (Hubba hubba!) :D

I could have sworn there was at least one quicksand scene. Not with the sisters themselves, but I think with some random male during the season 6 premiere when they went to the island of the Amazons.

CSI Miami should had at least one sinking scene. In fact the last episode, the villain mention about sinking one of the CSI personel in 12-foot of mud. Wished that actually did that scene.
