I believe The Fast Show did a parody, but Jane Horrocks had her own one-woman show, a one-off; it was the same one where she did the "Watch With Nanny" sketch , where she played a hideously snobbish upper-class children's television presenter (the type I'm sure David Cameron was brought up on) and she did her version of "Marching Round the Town"which just consisted of singing the word "marching" repeatedly in a horrible high-pitch grating voice for a solid minute, and finishing with "That was fucking boring wasn't it?"; there was also a sketch where she sang "Lilly Marlene" in a rather overdone German accent, while trying to stop a badly erected prop lamppost from falling on her!
"Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Quicksand! I'm sinking! I'll go straight to the bottom of.......GLURP!"
(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"

I remember this movie since my childhood. The last time I've seen it maybe 40 years ago. Thank you very much for refreshing my memories!

I have to admit I didn't remember "the quicksnow" and I didn't remember that "the deer" (as they called that hybridized animal) was supposedly stuck in deep snow. However, for all this time I did remember how the lake got frozen and "the fish" got stuck in the ice, and how the princess got her hands trapped in the ice and struggled to pull them free. Also, I did remember the impenetrable wall of thorny bushes (and I was a bit disappointed that the princess didn't get stuck in it). I have to admit, some of my fantasies now displayed on deviantART are based on these memories and impressions.
There’s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

Does this mean we may see elves stuck in quicksnow in time for the Christmas? :D

Yes and no. Take into account that usually I am late for any season. Sometimes I am late for half-year, sometimes - for a year, sometimes - for more... So I can't ensure when exactly you will see poor elves stuck in quicksnow...

But one thing I can tell you for sure - time to time the elves do get stuck in quicksnow. ;)

I'd be disappointed if they didn't... ;)

I seem to recall that Pete Boggs did a cartoon of an Inuit (Eskimo) girl stuck up to her boobs in snow, saying, "Shouldn't I have heard about....Quicksnow?"
