You're right it should be unzip. Not sure why I said "unbutton", probably thinking of another picture. Might be safer with a button up coat, you wouldn't want to have your movement restricted in a coat with a mud jammed zipper!

Posh, I'd thought it looked more fetishist; still, people have different ideas of posh. Surprised, bet she was. These off-road bikers do get themselves into some deep holes.
