The usage of the two threads is different. One is for images from experiments and "try-outs" (Off the beaten track), some of which are a bit odd or bizarre. This isn't always the case and a lot of the experiments get applied to the routine work, so older images may now look mainstream by the time they get posted. I separated the two threads as some of the experiments could be a bit off-topic and I wanted the main thread to remain 'focused'.

I try to keep the content varied and interesting, it's not an easy task after about two years, so sometimes it can be a bit iffy. I do keep revising things to try to get new styles and ideas but they don't always work and sometimes you can get dull patches. I have a few regular visitors who have expressed interests and I endeavour to cater for these, so you may notice some common themes.

Back when the forum was experiencing performance difficulties I did ask Dave if he wanted me to ease off or stop posting, but he said it was OK to continue as normal. I don't consider that I am spamming, each image is different (unless I accidentally double post, which has happened) and this is the first actual complaint I've received. On average this thread gets 200-300 views a day and the other 150-250, so there seems to be a significant amount of interest. Further, no one is forcing you to view these threads, you are free to ignore them should you so wish.

As explained above, the two threads have different criteria, though there may be some overlap due to timeliness in posting. The fact that they are 100+ pages is due to me posting daily and the threads having been in existence for about two years, they do tend to get big in these circumstances. Look on the bright side, there is something new to look at when you log on each day!
