Got to sink for first time! (Arizona)

Been a member of these forums for a while and I was at deepsinking but this is my first post so bare with me. I live in the phoenix area and I went camping up in Forest Lakes, well at Willowspring lake, near the end of the river, I found mud. Walked across it back and forth until I totally got stuck waste deep in a section that was a few inches underwater. It was awesome!
Real question, where can I find more quicksand in arizona? I can go about 2 to 3 hour drive out from the central. The best excuse is still probably "going hiking" but if there is a better one let me know xD I'm particularly straight so I wouldn't want to sink with another dude, but a guide or a reasonable location would be awesome.

I'm situated in the Payson area actually. I haven't been in the woods around here too often, but when I did go, I didn't see anything promising. Doesn't help that it hasn't rained since God knows when. I'd plan more trecks out there, but I'm gonna be moving back to Louisiana on the 23rd.

Glad to hear you had your first sink! That's awesome!

I'm 43, had my first sink when I was 35....before that was just some real minor stuff, like knee deep. But I kept pursuing the big sink, and one day I managed to get sunk down to my chin! Go for it now, while you have the health and strength to do it!

Dang! I used to live in Phoenix from 98 to 2002.. Im back in ohio and wish there could be some spot I can check out.
