Looking to purchase a new digital camera. Any suggestions?

My Sony Cybershot DSC W330 is falling apart despite being well taken care of. Not only that, but the sound is a little busted as well. When I record something I hear gear grinding noises when I play back the video. I got the camera in early 2011 for my 20th birthday. It's been well taken care of, kept in a case, and has hardly, if any, scratches. The piece that holds the battery and memory card in place broke off randomly after putting it back in it's case. I'm looking to purchase a new digital camera. Any suggestions on what I should purchase? Here are my criteria:

Should cost between $100-$120. Can cost less but shouldn't cost more. Used cameras are okay with me.
Accept SD cards (I believe most cameras do, so that shouldn't be a problem).
Able to take photos and video
Must be 14.1 MP or better (that's what my Cybershot is) or slightly less, but not by much.

In all honesty, I'm thinking about purchasing the exact same camera I had. Probably same color and everything despite it being outdated. That's where my comfort zone lies. Would it really be such a bad idea if I bought the same camera I have? I do have a few issues with the Cybershot, but I'm afraid the next camera I get may be worst than this one as far as issues are concerned.

I won't give you a specific recommendation but I can say that buying a used version of what you already have would be a mistake. You can buy so much more camera now for the same money that it would be a waste. I've been a big Nikon fan for over thirty years and in addition to my own gear I buy Nikon point and shoots for people to use at work all the time. Go to B and H photo and look around.
