Of winter, hopefully

This was the aftermath of storm Friday morning; it had been bare ground the day before. It's mostly all gone again, but spring always unsettled. And heads up to all in the midwest, first 10 days or so of April supposed to get hammered with that polar vortex thing. With all the associated crappy weather and cold.

I wish I had the money to move...:)

Yeah... I got stuck Good Friday on a carpet of ice pellets a half inch thick... spent a couple of hours scraping it away to the pavement. It has started melting, though, plus the forecast is calling for rain the next couple of days, so hopefully... :)

Here in BC, it has been cool and showery much of the day, with the temperature peaking at around 8˚C (46˚F) (ski hills are happy about the high elevation snow), but at the end of this coming week, we are expected to be around 21˚C (70˚F). Maybe my banana plant will finally start to make a decent move, because it has been growing extremely sluggishly in the cool weather so far.

I would normally jump at the upcoming nicer weather to go sinking at my Harris Creek slide area (if there is any quicksilt left there), but because I hurt my knees, hips, shoulders and elbows over the past few years, I have to hold back a bit until I recover, although some things seem to have been getting worse. :(
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

That would be a major snow fall where I'm at and everything would be stopped. At least until it melted two days later. Someday when I don't have to drive to town for work every morning I won't mind a little snow. Until then I'm grateful only to see that much every ten years or so. I've already mowed the lawn and planted some Azaleas my wife got for Easter.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.
