I love scenes that have lots of grass like that, makes it far more believable that someone could stumble in danger when from a distance it looks like an ordinary field. I guess it is a shame the mud itself looks watery, but then it's probably realistic that the thick dangerous mud is beneath deceptively shallow brown muddy water.
