Technically the scale stops at five, but various news reports are saying if you do the math 181.8 mph is the cut off point. GTFO if you're in the way of this thing......

Yikes! The smart people who can flee are, I hope... Those who cannot I hope they can find some sort of shelter... This is like Wrath of God scale of storm.

I remember that one but it didn't affect my local area too much, I recall it blew out a few fence panels between mine and my neighbour's back yard, and uprooted a few trees in the area but other than that we were pretty much ok. Didn't lose power or anything like that!

I do remember on one occasion when it was really windy I was in the back seat of my mum's car when she suddenly screamed and braked really hard. Apparently she thought a tree was about to land on the car, but it was just a few leaves falling down
Not sure if that was 1987 or not though.

Another way to comprehend the craziness--if you look up the wind speed on the Fujita Scale 185 mph is basically an F3 Tornado.....but it's the size of France.
