Quicksand in Dora the Explorer Trailer

Bright and colourful, as you would expect from the source material. Seems like a jungle peril-a-thon - flooding room puzzles, crushing walls, jumping over things, Danny Trejo as Boots the monkey. Beginning of a quicksand scene at the very end of the trailer - Dora & Co. wander into a sawdust patch, with the "It's quicksand!" cry, but the scene is played for comedy with the bog making fart noises. From scraps of other promo material, it *might* turn into a dramatic scene with one of the male characters submerging (not sure).

Piecing together what seems to be the scene narrative. "Trailer #1", announced in March, has no QS scene. Trailer #2 features this scene. The Facebook trailer by Paramount has a slightly different edit with some additional footage.

Dora & Friends step into a sawdust clearing. Dora yells out "We're in Quicksand!"

Toilet humour follows as quicksand makes burp/fart noise. Group laughs. Alejandro jokes "I ate chilli con carne!" followed by another fart. I assume that at this point, their fun in stirring up the quicksand to make fart noises ends up getting them in deeper trouble.

The Paramount trailer cut shows this scene early in the video. Looks like Alejandro has the way under and was rescued by Dora & Friends. Judging by the sawdust on their clothing, they all sink to some extent, with the male supporting characters Diego and Randy being most covered, Sammy having some on her pants and shoulders, and Dora being covered around her legs, shorts and front. You could conjecture the sequence of events between each scene.

It was that legend of the hidden temple movie.

Just looked it up. Legends of the Hidden Temple, the 2016 TV Movie based on the Nickoledeon kids game show. It features minors, so won't link the scene, but there's a free viewable version that is easily searched. The scene itself is quite good, being based on the "Quicksand Bog" puzzle - in the TV show it's foam beads that the contestants have to walk over; in the movie it is an actual sand pit. It's a good action/suspense pace, great setup and look, and fairly thrilling as far as the QS element goes. The two actors sink deeper and deeper as the third pushes random buttons, until the final one drains the pit. Probably the sort of show can that spark the peril-seeker fetishists early.

What's interesting is that the premise for Moner's two performances in Legends and in Dora pretty much have an identical plot: investigate ancient ruins, trigger a bunch of traps and have a monkey save the day.
