No sinking in this one, but thought I'd post it just to show the potential dangers of tidal mud flats.
Good part starts about 4 minutes in. In the space of about 5 minutes you'll see some very sinkable looking spots turn into what looks like open ocean.

I've driven around Morcambe Bay and it is full of mud that people frequently get stuck in hunting clams or some such. Any tidal area that is sandy is dangerous, especially those with bore tides.
