I think there are multiple reasons why this can happen, I've experienced a few myself. I'll try to outline the situations and work arounds I've found.

If it is one file that repeatedly give the error and you get to the stage where it is uploading, the progress bar reaches the end and then the error occurs, it means the app doesn't like the file for some reason. I've found that editing the file to do a minimal change (e.g. clone a bit of background over itself then saving back over the original file, stops this happening when you try to reload it. When I do this I'm using CS6, which predates AI and, consequently, strips out any AI metadata. This usually works for me.

If the error occurs at the start of the upload process or during it, I think it means the site can't see the file for some reason. It could be that the server has gone unresponsive, in which case you'll have to wait about 15 minutes and try again.

Those are the two situations I've encountered and how I've dealt with them. Hope this helps. If not, some more information would help, file type, file size, when in the process the error occurred and anything else you notice happening at the time.

It occurs immediately after i select the file. I am.going to try and run it through a video editor and change the file type.

Running it through Clipchamp seems to have fixed the problem. Not sure why.....
