Time Stamp Reminder

Postby Fred588 » Sun Nov 01, 2026 11:34 am

Those who care if their messages and posts are properly time-stamped, please take note that the changeover from Daylight to Standard time is NOT automatic. The place to change it is in your user control panel.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

I’m glad you post these reminders. I changed all my manual clocks, but I forget this one every time. Thank you.

I always found that for me, the board automatically changes the time according to the time change for my selected time zone. But this time, after it changed to an hour earlier without me having to do anything, I had to then change it ahead one hour, which was suggested by a button I then clicked on to change my time zone in the second list box to "America/Boise", because here in BC, and some other parts of Canada, we moved to permanent Daylight Savings Time, putting us out of sync with places south of the border. It seems that the previously selected time zone, "America/Vancouver", vanished from the list, which was probably why the button appeared in the first place. :?

It appears that if you have to manually change your time zone during time changes, then the second list box is likely set to "Select timezone". If you click on that, you can select from a list the name of the city found in your timezone, and things should become automatic. 8-)

I have a feeling that the board software might have to be eventually updated to accommodate the new time discrepancies.
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!
