A fine example of people being overly reliant on tech. GPS is useful, but I'd never use it alone without a map backup.

I'll take a good road map and set of directions over a GPS unit any day.

As PM2K noted, there's just too much reliance on technology. And, when technology fails, some people just sit around doing nothing as they wait for it to come back on.

Thanks for sharing that, Fred!

Another example of "GPS ON - Brain OFF".

Obviously, her brains are OFF either with or without the GPS.
It was said,
It took rescuers nearly an hour to locate the woman in the marsh, some 25 kilometres northwest of Trenton, Ont. She called 911 from her cellphone, but an initial search turned up nothing, forcing police dispatchers to ask the woman to honk her horn repeatedly to help orient her rescuers.
She had GPS, she could give them EXACT COORDINATES of the place where she was.

So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
