A Week to go
And may I assure this community that quicksand was possibly the last thing in my mind as I ran down 101 floors to the ground. This is always a hard week for the author, and rememberance is becoming a fleeting thing these days.

I can assure you that that is not the case here in the AFG. I have 6 flags the are scheduled to go in a Reaper and fly on September 11th or Patriots Day. One of them, mine, has flown in Kabul on 9-11 in 2008 when I had the misfortune of being there for my last deployment. They are turning people away or scheduling for another date.

Don't know about anyone else but the image of that second plane hitting will be burned into my brain till I die. That and driving home past a thousand cars with their headlights on at 9:30 on a bright sunny morning, just a really surreal sight.
On the plus side, we can now celebrate the fact that the motherfucker who caused it all recieved a 5.56mm lobotomy and was subsequently recycled into fish food. Hope hell is treating him nice.
