Writing stories is pretty draining. Taking a break from coming up with psycho-thrillers, I'm going do a few surveys regarding preferences and scenarios. I recall seeing this a while ago on DS regarding choices over clothing, etc. but I'm more interested in how QS fans like their experiences and sequences. I'm doing this partly for curiosity, but mostly to tantalise the community with snippets and possibilities. Here we go!

You spot someone walking along your regular track through the forest. She doesn't see you and she takes a turn off the track. You catch a glimpse of her brown hair tied back in short ponytail, and she is wearing a bright pink crop top and Lycra shorts with a jumper tied around her waist. You figure that is another visitor seeking to get some exercise in the great outdoors.
You remember hearing that certain areas had been affected by the recent rains, causing spots of "quicksand" to appear in the forest. As you walk past the fork in the path where the walker turned off, you notice a fallen sign: "PATH CLOSED, UNSTABLE" with a silhouette of a person sinking into a bog. Realising the danger, you turn back and follow the walker. The path heads down and becomes muddier. Being protective of your new shoes, you take your time in going around the deep patches. Your caution slows you down and, after some time, you aren't sure if there's any point in chasing after her. However, you sight a flash of pink through the vegetation. You hurry down the path in time to see her...

Hi everybody! I've migrated over from Deep Sinking at last!
What Viridian speaks of reminds me of a clip I saw on YouTube of a female jogger in a race, and due to sudden exhaustion
she makes a wrong turn into the woods, not noticing a sign that says 'KEEP OUT'. Disoriented, she steps into black quicksand, and starts sinking. Three of her fellow runners go looking for her and the eventually get her out.
I notice a great deal of scenes start when the victim plunges in already up to his/her chest, not leaving much time to really enjoy the sequence. Too fast for me. Although the Beastmaster scene is quite good. Give me a long, lingering scene starting from the knees any day.
