Snow in NorthEast

Postby reisen55 » Fri Jan 03, 2014 9:11 am

Just a random comment. My beard froze this morning while snowblowing. True. And my nose ran, that froze too. Arrrrgggghhh. It is at times like this that my icon picture from THE GREAT RACE works well, the advice of Prince Hapnick - BRANDY, MORE BRANDY.

The prince knew how to have a good time for sure.

No snow here and I'll be happy if we never see any. I plan to work outside tomorrow finishing a special project and then the temp is going to dive into the single digit lows for the next couple of nights. I hope that is all the winter we have this year.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Just a dusting here, that was essentially all gone from the roofs it covered by the time the sun came up. Mostly just bitter, bitter cold.

Everybody from the Governor on down panicked about this one. Yawn. Yep, cold and snow- near-blizzard conditions. Nothing we haven't weathered before without any muss or fuss. Now, the Blizzard of '77, THAT was a disaster. And the big snow back in'93, that was the year I got buried waist-deep in an avalanche- while snowblowing our driveway. This? Please.

I always liked Hudson, he had such a balanced take on things

It would be inconvenient right now to post some snow pics, since I cant get out of the driveway at the moment with the blowing snow and the roads sucking....

Maybe 24-48hrs when the clipper blows through

In catastrophic times like these we tend to forget about the true victims....
