Not sure what got me into quicksand, but I remember seeing the episode of the Incredible Hulk when it originally aired in prime time back in the late '70's when Dr. Banner was carrying a woman through the woods and stumbled into quicksand. He pushed her out and eventually Hulked-out and got out of it....
See the scene here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCjEwwsGszQ

The funny thing about that scene was that I was about 7 years old... and I experienced a full erection from seeing that scene! I didn't know that it was an erection, only that my "pee-pee" (as I called it then) was standing up and hard.

A few years later, I remember being at home with my 2 siblings while my parents were out to dinner on a Saturday night. We finished out Swanson TV dinners (kind of a staple for me back then) and we were watching cable TV. There was a movie on called The Beastmaster.... Yeah, I think you all know that scene, but just in case:

I was sitting on the small couch, wearing pajamas with the loose pants. I got a full, rock hard (and hard to hide) erection in like 3 seconds when he landed in the quicksand! I grabbed the TV Guide and covered myself with it - all unnoticed by my 2 siblings (whew!). I recall my sister's reaction to the scene as "Ewww! How do you get out of that stuff?"

A year later, we sat in the same living room watching cable TV again... A movie called Krull..... Ugh!

I don't know just when it was, but I know I was a young boy at the time. There was a television commercial for some brand of sneakers (I believe it was PF Flyers). The ad was about a whistle that was a premium that came with the sneakers for a time. In the commercial, a girl in a safari outfit is in the jungle when she walks into quicksand. She was wearing shorts or a skirt, and I recall being excited watching her legs struggle as she tried to free herself. She blew the whistle, and the boy who was the hero of the series of commercials came and rescued her.

Does anyone know what commercial I'm talking about? Can it be seen anywhere, like on You Tube?

It was about the same time I first saw the opening credits on the color episodes of 'The Saint' with Roger Moore. The credits feature several quick action scenes in color silhouettes against a black background. One of them is of a bad guy grabbing a girl by her arm and she's trying to pull away. Another figure, obviously the hero, Simon Templar (AKA the Saint) kicks the bad guy's legs out from under him and he lets the girl go. That brief scene excited me, and I would watch the show just for that.

I now realize this was my introduction to the damsels in distress genre, and I've been a DiD fan for some time. Quicksand is one of the perils I'm interested in. I don't like perils that end in gore or the woman dying. I much prefer they be rescued, or at least there's the chance of rescue. I'm the sort that wants to be the one that rescues the damsel in the stories...after I've watched her struggle for about 20 minutes or so!

I became interested in quicksand when I was younger when I watched the Guns of darkness movie. For some reason, I became fascinated when I watched the quicksand scene, and I was confused why I was so aroused. I also realized I had a stuck fetish (which compliments my quicksand fetish) when I watched the movie Rawhide where the woman could not squeeze through the hole they made in the jail cell.

I would explore my fetish in my early teen years by pretending to be under the covers sinking in quicksand. Although this was a fun thing, there was definitely a sexual component to it. Once I got tired of that, when my parents were out, I would explore my stuck fetish my trying to fit under the bed, and squeeze through things. I didn't know why it was so erotic but I absolutely loved it.

Since then movies like Nightmare on Elm Street III, Tarzan Lost in the Jungle, and other movies with quicksand peaked my interest. My fetish was mostly subdued until I discovered it on the internet and this site (formally DeepSinking) where I really had a chance to explore and have access. But instead of thinking of myself being stuck in quicksand, my interest changed to women sinking in quicksand.

For years while I was single, I always thought that maybe it would be a great compliment in my life to meet someone with the same interests in sinking in quicksand. I kept the idea open for years, and chatted with people, both on and off this site, who may have a real life interest in sinking in quicksand since that was my ultimate goal. My ex-girl friend (who I did not meet on this site) did not have a quicksand fetish but she enjoyed being stuck in places, which was really enjoyable. But for the practicalities in life, she was not the person for me.

Now being 41 and married, my wife has no interest in being stuck or having a quicksand fetish, and that is comfortable for me. But I always think about sinking, even found a nice mudhole by my house this fall which I tried a few times. it is tough though maintaining the balance between the normal life and my interests and fetishes in sinking in quicksand and being stuck, and that is the challenge for me. Just like other groups I belong to, I always hope and look for groups interested in sinking in quicksand to do as a fun thing and to be plutonic about it. But I think the sexual component gets in the way which makes it difficult.

Sorry that was a bit beyind the scope of the topic, but feels nice to share my story.

I can remember when i was about 6 or so and watching an episode of Lost in Space. I think i had dreams about quicksand for weeks, where i was being pulled into it...but not in a scary way...i felt kind of a tingle ...some kind of early sexual thing i guess.
Then when I was about 11 or 12 (just about the time i learned how to ..well, you know) i ran across Tarzan's Hidden Jungle...and the rest is history :)

What really sealed the deal for me was when I went and saw "When dinosaurs ruled the earth" at age 10 or 11.Quicksand scenes have always gotten me sexually aroused but man, talk about a two day erection after that scene.... and the rest is history.

I got interested into quicksand when I saw photos and videos, thought I could try and see what the experience is like, as long as the quicksand gonna be soft to get out easily.

Many people say about their fetish that 'I always was such' or 'I had this interest since I remember myself', but in all cases that I know any particular fetish builds on the base of some bright impressions and fears at a young age - normally, well before the sexuality forms. I more interested about people who pretend to have no fetishes - what were those bright impressions of their young age? :)

BB John,

I rememberthe exact PF Flyers commercial (mid 1960's). "Look out Sue, there's quicksand ahead - the chimp tries to warn her - but it's too late and she is sinking fast." She blows a whistle and the boy (name forgotten) comes and pulls her out about knee deep. It was still a fixer in my memory. "Tarzan's Hidden Jungle" (no surprise) and "Revenge of the Zombies" were the two movies that fixated my innate, already there, interest in QS. It soon became obvious that it was women in QS that held my interest. But there was no single moment - it was there forever for me and just developed as I got older.

It was a scene in The Rifleman where a pretty blonde stumbles into a bog and her overly eager boyfriend joins her when he slips while attempting a rescue.

I'm not exactly sure myself as to how I developed a fetish for quicksand but all I can say is that I was a kid when this all started. I do know that when I became a Super Mario fan at the age of 5 I remember playing Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 (I was actually 7 years old when I first played that game and it still remains to be my all time favorite video game. Super Mario Bros. for the NES a.k.a original Nintendo was my first Mario game I ever played) and the first death Mario encountered on this one course known as Shifting Sand Land was in quicksand and that's pretty much when my fetish occurred. I should also throw in that even though there is no quicksand in Super Mario Bros. my copy of the game had a rather unusual glitch where out of nowhere Mario went through the ground and lost a life over that and I was like "that's the first Mario game I ever played where he found some quicksand without the game even having quicksand to begin with". This glitch happened in roughly 2004 when my NES was having some problems but it's been a lot better now considering that I repaired it on my own as I can now repair my own Nintendo consoles but it was still a rather funny moment. For those of you that ever played with the NES will know that these consoles are bound to have their glitchy moments but they're still really fun to play with despite the problems it can have. But yeah that's pretty much how my fetish for quicksand started and of course the quicksand scenes in various movies and tv shows were really fun to watch as well.
