Big Trouble in Little China Limited Edition 30th Anniversary Soundtrack

Postby Palinov Jensen » Fri Aug 19, 2016 2:56 pm

This is a reissue of the limited edition soundtrack put out by La La Land Records in, I think 2008. I am so glad this was reissued since I missed the opportunity to pick this up the first time around. Maybe, if I'm lucky, the Black Rain expanded soundtrack will be reissued sometime in the future. I missed out on that and the Commando soundtrack as well.

Limited to 3000 copies. If you want a copy for yourself here's the link! http://www.lalalandrecords.com/Site/BTLC_R.html

The Big Trouble in Little China soundtrack is one of my top five favorite soundtracks. The standout track, to me, include:

The Porkchop Express https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFhrYmqbUJM
Here Comes the Storms https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RgcU_AZ3vI
White Tiger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M8NEXuC7qc
Hide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzkF1WyNDKM
The Final Escape (the best part starts at time stamp 3:12) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-_ERyOeDSw

Another great cult movie that should be on the "Never Fucking Remake -EVER -List" but given Wallywood's fetish for utter fucking fail as displayed this summer, I expect they won't be able to restrain themselves. Aw well

I have no idea why Hollywood feels the need to remake this classic and have The Rock star in it at that! It's an insult to BTLC fans! No disrespect to The Rock. And, might I add, history has proven time and time again that remakes of classics don't sit well with movie goers.

Gee, lemmee pick two off the top....

Ghostbusters FAIL - reversing the sexes of all the characters and raping the premise, and then lecturing everyone how we are all sexist pigs if we don't see the steaming shitpile TWO MONTHS before it even comes out....

Ben-Hur - Pick any part of the movie, they fucked it up. It stands to lose probably the entire hundred-million plus involved....

If I was a backer, I'd have Murder , Inc on the case of the guilty parties with instructions to make sure it's as gruesome and painful as possible. And I want streaming footage

If YOU lost north of a Hundred Million bucks, and the ones that did it were busy slobbering and ranting that it's not THEIR fault no one appreciates their awesomeness, Ya Think you'd be forgiving?
Or Not?

People who invest in such things know perfectly well it can be risky. They do not, usually, engage in murder for hire when they lose.

Yea, from the trailers I'm guessing new Ben Hur is like that, but with Chariots instead of jousting.

I wish Theaters would do more retro shows. Instead of making a crappy reboot of BTLC just digitize it and run the original.
