Alligator

Planning and choosing the right location.....2 hours
Packing up your things.....30 minutes
Driving across the state of Florida .....3 hours
Hiking through trails carrying big jugs of heavy water to the point of exhaustion ....1 hour
Getting mauled by mosquitoes, deerflies, and horseflies..... unbearable.

Finding an Alligator blocking your path 10 feet from where you were going..... NOT F@#$%#@ priceless!!!!! :( :o :shock: :x

sometimes you'll see them on Florida's golf courses... but golfers at least have clubs at hand in a pinch :twisted:

No alligators in UK but the flies,mosquitoes,nettles & thorns seem to be universal. Oh & a buddy has just had a run in with a Game Warden!!

Too bad about your interrupted trip. How big was he? Definitely a mature adult from the coloration but hard to tell scale.
