To fill the theoretical 12,500 gallon pool with clay at seven pounds of clay per 100 pounds (12.5 gallons) of would cost about $7,000 US.
Peat at 1 cubic foot of peat (uncompressed) to 1 gallon (~1 CF) of water would cost about $2,200 US.
Now, buy a nice 500 gallon open-top plastic storage tank (52"' diameter, 60" tall) for $350 US, and the respective costs to fill it would be $280 and $88. Less, actually, since one would have to subtract ones' own volume (and possibly the volume of a partner) so that the tank wouldn't overflow when occupied.
If one owns a home with a back yard, or rents one and the landlord has no objection to you doing a bit of gardening, one can simply dig a hole of appropriate depth, line it with a plastic sheet, and fill with whatever medium one desires. Sometimes just screening the stones out of the natural soil will result in an acceptable mud. Note: digging into a gas main or telephone cable can be quite expensive, and is generally frowned upon by one's neighbors. :geek:

I'd love to sit in at the zoning meeting when that item is discussed... ;)

"Now, you know you aren't supposed to install a septic tank in this municipality, Mr. Jaeger..."
"I'm not. It's just a tank filled with water and dirt."
"And for what purpose is this for? You planting something?"
"Hopefully me and my wife!" *laughs*
Silence falls over the zoning board membership.
"Um... but seriously,,, yes, it is just a tank... to hold... dirt... and water.."
"But why?"
"To... sink in..."
"Pardon?"
"Fine... it's a spa, okay? My wife thought mud baths would be good for the skin... and it's too messy to do indoors."
"Why didn't you say so in the first place? But why is it 10 feet deep?"
"Because it's the best damn spa in town!"

Oh tosh! Tanya retorted, quicksand churning,
Round her knees, then thighs, then oh dear!
It got intimate with her hips and her panties,
And squished rather funnily up her rear!

Was I the only one who was watching the bust of the lady in orange bra instead of the pool of those ridiculous transparent balls and guys in long trunks jumping in it?

A question - the size of the balls seemed not so safe to me. In that common yelling and floundering it is possible to get such a ball stuck in someone's throat. Am I wrong?

I never give suggestions to producers for exactly this reason. It doesn't stop me from telling what I like and don't like in fetish videos when the discussion does not relate to a particular producer or a particular video.

So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones

When you put them in water, they grow. And if you throw them at something, they break up. Not sure what happens if you get one stuck in your throat. They're called "Spitballs". I don't know what, exactly, they are made of.

I am quite sure Billy is right about the choking hazard. The substance is probably some sort of polyacrylamide.

Besides which, the name 'spitballs', even if they aren't made of human saliva, is a complete turn-off for me. :x

When I was too young to know better I remember making what we called spitballs by simply rolling a small bit of paper into a ball. These were then put into the barrel of a pen and fired at other pupils like blow darts. The way we did it there was no actual spit involved except what might have passed through the pen barrel, but I imagine in other places the balls of paper may have been wettened. The web site mentioned in the original post does seem to suggest putting these water-soaked pellets into a tube nd firing them like blowguns. Pretty obviously that is where the name "spitballs" for the product came from.

For what its worth, the web site has a mechanism for asking questions and promises a reply within 24 hours. I entered a question asking for a Materials Safety Sheet about a week ago. I have not received any reply.
