Someone wanted Snow
Its too early, this stuff wont last. These were Monday, when was more frigid than anything. But that alone sucked. And got about 5 cm new stuff out now, might get in morning if get up
and, its not sloppy. Following normal pattern now for November, messy, wet snow/rain. Little above zero in day, slightly below at night. Until get into December, and ground colder. And it gets serious

Ugh...
The Ottawa Valley got clobbered by Winter Junior. Snowed and blowed starting Sunday and all through the night, plus all day Monday. Finally stopped late Monday, early Tuesday. Some places reported 30 to 40 cm of the white stuff. I think we got 25 cm plus.

Re: Someone wanted Snow
We had three days of snow and wind- only about six or eight inches (15-20 cm.) Had the unusual experience of wet, heavy snow getting blown across the road. Lucky to have a tractor with a back blade this year- was too wet for the snowblower, and too heavy to shovel without herculean effort.

We got a dusting of snow, not enough to cover the ground, but definitely noticeable.

Nothing much here yet, had one squall early this week drop a few inches but it melted the next day. It doesn't seem to get really cold anymore around here till Late December/Early Jan.

The Valley may have, but Ottawa got nothing really.

Re: Someone wanted Snow
Over here, the white stuff is getting lower and lower down the mountainsides all the time and the skiers/snowboarders are rejoicing! Forecasts of it threatening to reach valley bottom (we are on a hillside overlooking the valley bottom) any day now are making me nervous, since I am still not finished preparing things for winter. I have a fig tree bush (two fig trees that spread out forming a thick bush around 10 feet high, and 10 x 20 feet wide) that needs to be cut back with an electric chainsaw (it is partially invading the driveway to the workshop), sprayed with an animal repellent (Skoot) to keep the mice from stripping the bark away, and tarped, with supports underneath to help hold up the tarp, with everything secured with strings. I have a hardy banana plant (Musa basjoo) that has to be finished being mulched and then tarped, and a few other plants that need mulching once I finish raking up leaves. I still have some vegetables to harvest, such as leeks, shallots, one kale, and perhaps some Thumbelina carrots. I am keeping my fingers crossed that any snow that doesn't melt within hours of it falling can hold off for just one more week at least!
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

Update here. Ottawa has received a couple of inches of snow today, and it's still snowing.
