Even More Commissioned Artwork (Updated 06/25/17)

Postby Dethmetal » Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:56 pm

Seems I'm on a bit of a commission kick lately, but after the wonderful images Tiangtam did of Cavewoman sinking I couldn't help but want to see what he could do with the subject of my previous series, Black Cat. Not sure if this would count as a redux, or Part 2, or something like that but, well, we'll see how things go. ;) Enjoy :)

Character prep for the series, and I must say he truly made her look gorgeous, even this early in the process

The beautifully rendered Black Cat, though it doesn't look like she's paying much attention to her surroundings,... but what could go wrong? ;)

And of course be sure to check out the gallery of the artist behind this, and other lovely images; http://tiangtam.deviantart.com/

Nice start for the new series. Tiangtam indeed did a nice job rendering Black Cat for this sinky situation. Wonderful conforming fit of her outfit over her strong, sexy body. And, the gradual transition of color in the ground as she wanders from solid to muddy terrain is nicely done.

Thanks for sharing!

Glad you think so too, it certainly does look promising, and yes, I absolutely love TT's rendering of Felicia, truly magnificent. One of my favorite details is that if you look at the mask, it is clearly a separate piece, all too often you see artists draw/render masks like that as if they are painted on almost. It's a small detail, but one I rather like.

The setting I think looks great, as you say, the gradual transition of colors, which to me look like it's going from drier/shallower to wetter/deeper, a very nice touch.

Welcome, thank you for commenting. :)

Yes, I noticed the detail work on her mask... the addition of the shadow cast by the mask gives excellent depth of the piece. Her mask reminds me of how Batman's cowl appears in the movies... there's a slight thickness that's noticed around the eye openings, giving his cowl an armored look.

My thoughts exactly, it made me think of the scene in Batman Begins where Bruce and Alfred are putting together the pieces of his cowl, talking about a problem with the first batch. Heh.

Second image in a commission series by the outstanding Tiangtam

http://dethmetal.deviantart.com/art/Bla ... -685333579

I love the expression and pose on this one, you really get a sense not only of surprise but of the sudden movement, with a bit of off-balanceness, as the sand gives way beneath her, accentuated by the thick rippling and undulating of the surface. <3 Enjoy :)
