The only thing I can figure, is she took the "enough with the clever plans" and not listening to Tyrion even a bit here, and just went for a complete Alpha-strike on anything Lannister and their spoils. What I said before holding, she needs to drive the WMDs herself. Speaking of, what are the other kids doing?? If she had all of them here, Jamie would be a fucking grease spot, fuck their plot armour. Of course, ze plotz demandz it! he not die. Fuck Him, he has to die anyway. Get it over with
But the North is growing closer by the week. She at least saw for herself he's not talking bullshit, and never was.

Re: GOT Season 7 Open Thread
that Brienne-Arya spar was the best... getting whacked repeatedly by the Waif plus her initial training in season 1, throw in that dagger, it all adds up to a potent weapon pointing at whoever is still around on the List... and i may have to amend my list of who's about to die, i'm now thinking Bran knows exactly who double crossed Ned, and if he gives that info to Arya, Littlefinger's time is way borrowed

Re: GOT Season 7 Open Thread
I really hated the thought of someone shooting down one of the dragons with those giant crossbows, but I must admit that when it turned out to be Bron doing it, I fucking loved it! Although, I knew he wouldn't kill the main dragon, I thought for sure it would be used on one of the other two and kill one. I feel like the show is getting soft. Like they're just trying to wrap it up and make everybody happy. I'm sorry but what attracted me to the show was how everyone you liked kept getting fucked. (I was going thru the bad end of a divorce at the time, and seeing bad things happen to good people was comforting and relatable to me). Now I'm afraid that in the hands of hbo they're just going to tie it all up with a little bow like an episode of full house or something where everyone you like is happy at the end. That's not the show I started to like 5 years ago. As much as I like Bron and liked seeing him shoot down a dragon, he should've killed one and died like C. Thomas Howell in Red Dawn.

Re: GOT Season 7 Open Thread
Well
This is getting interesting
Bron saved dumbass's ass. Shocker. Most of the surviving Lannister troops agreed to bend the knee other than the couple nobles left from the Tarley's who despite Tyrion trying, both chose suicide -by-dragon
They changing gears, focussing on the North and the Dead looks. only 2 eps left this season
Scenes tonight pretty much confirm, Dragons are sentient creatures. Short of having a giant handbill, the scene with Jon and the dragon confirmed it, and, confirms something else, they just not saying out loud yet
But Dragon Knows
Tyrion and Davos do the secret mission to Kings Landing (and fast enough to gloss over stuff...) Tyrion setting up a meeting with his brother via Bron. Cersei of course is a miserable conniving bitch, plotting, and I suspect more treachery . We'll see. But oh goodie, she's pregnant again. Jamie not sure if happy or not, but he with her, even though she manages to threaten her own brother while embracing. He still might wise up enough to save his life....
And Sam being Sam (eg, a fucking moron who talks too much) We learn something from Gilly reading, since she bored as hell so what else can she do. Asks what "annullment" means . In context how Aemon had Reagar's marriage annulled , and he married again the same day... which is where this dumbass cut her off. Gee. Wonder who that could be?
More secret mission stuff next week, north of the wall....

Re: GOT Season 7 Open Thread
agreed, Sam was asleep at the wheel on that one... that makes Jon not a bastard, it makes him the legit son of Danny's older brother and therefore he outranks you... and good catch on "dragon knows"... but from her goo goo eyes, i don't think she has a clue that's her kin
nice to see Gendry back after all these years, taking his "go bag" and joining the Westeros version of the Dirty Dozen... but at least a couple of those guys can't make it back, shame on the writers if they do
"it's a sealed scroll for the king of the north"
"what's it say?"

Re: GOT Season 7 Open Thread
I liked how Tyrion just kept drinking and didn't even change expression when he said that
Nice to see Gendry's not a total useless waste now, but he's still an imbecile
Davos: "now look, tell him this, and nothing more, right?"
30 seconds later... " I'm Robert Baratheon's son.....:
Oh I donno; all the shippers probably came in their pants last night; what would that make him, her 2nd cousin? Not exactly Targereon-level incest, just a little strange. Considering Jamie and Cersei have been fucking since teens, I don't think it would raise an eyebrow
Whats-his-name laying out the master lord of light plan...
Clegane: "For fuck's sake! Are we going with you or not??"
Always cuts to the bottom line
And Littledick, playing the spy vs spy game? That, I suspect will backfire. He's trying manipulate both Arya and Sansa, problem is that Arya has never exactly been huggy with Sansa. And already called her out on her behavior in council, and what she secretly wants.....
With only 2 to go, my worry is same as before; not enough time and they cramming like mad

I love how Davos says that Gendry "he can handle himself" after all he saw was Gendry hit two guys who weren't paying attention in the head with a hammer.
