A while back, where I mentioned something about the USS Indianapolis , and how that LST was the last ship to sight her? And based on that, she wouldn't be anywhere NEAR where the Navy thought?
Well..
THIS Guy did, and used it as the basis to find her
The link goes to his twitter page too, for anyone to follow. There will be more coming, and they will be doing a live feed later they say (this month, no time just yet) But, the evidence seems solid so far

I look forward to following more about the expedition. Good that they are treating and protecting this place as a war grave.

At 5500m down, I'd say she's safe from any asshole salvagers. Now, wonder if can convince this guy to look for the Midway Carriers...

Good on Paul Allen. He's got a wondrous collection of toys in Everett, Washington, including an Il-2 Sturmovik, a de Havilland Mosquito, a Bf-109E, a B-25, the world's only flying FW-190A5 with its original BMW engine, an M4A1 Sherman tank, and a Hetzer, among many others. He has free fly days where he'll have several of his aircraft fly around for the public, as well.
