Breathing hose

This does just sound so inviting and exciting. I have only one time brought a snorkel with me to the bog so far and it did not work quite out as expected as it was only moving around all the time and it was totally unsuitable for a vertical sink. Next time I have to bring some kind of headband to safely attach the snorkel to my head.
The risks are obvious of course but they also sound really exciting.
I have read about Notnormal, but thought he was into some kind of breath control that went wrong. You know more?

As I mentioned before, I find that a Shop-Vac hose, or any flexible, accordion-type hose is the best, because it allows you to go deeper vertically, and has less air resistance due to its width. Also, the fluted (ridged) shape of the hose makes it easier to grip and hold with your mouth, as opposed to smooth tubes/hoses, which can slip out more easily. I used to use a pvc pipe, with a bunch of duct tape wrapped around one end to soften it and make it easier to grab onto with my teeth, but I found that due to its hardness, I was still almost chipping my teeth on the sharp edge.
