Quicksand scene in Harlequin Romance book

Quicksand scene in Harlequin Romance book

Found in Harlequin Desire - two stories "Zane" and "Intimate Seduction" by Brenda Jackson (2013). In the first story "Zane," the heroine wanders off heartbroken - of course - and ends up in beach quicksand up to her neck, with the tide coming in. Zane rescues her - of course.The action happens midway Chapter 13... pages 169-175.

Found this online... hence no scans. But maybe one day..

Hmmmm. Good catch.

But I wish I had a few bucks for every Harlequin Romance I flipped through back in the day. Gothic Romances were definitely where the action was.

I'm going to have a MPV newsletter fairly soon. Some of the old BBS/FTP scans of all those pages might be in order. ;)

If you guys wanna wait I lashed out and ordered one from Amazon fairly cheap. I'll scan and post when it arrives! :lol:

Found another good quicksand description and a great science lesson in the Harlequin series Rouge Angel : Treasure of Lima pg's 79-89

Update: book arrived yesterday but was out. Will scan tomorrow... not a bad scene and strives for some realism in the rescue, even if she IMHO opinion sinks too fast and too deep :oops: Oh, and no rescue sex. :?

(crowd reply - no woman EVER sinks TOO fast or TOO deep! :lol: )

well... some of us DO think it's possible to sink TOO fast, we want it slow for lots of struggling
and depth... we're all over the place ;)
