Amy's Selfie (and a question for other Daz Studio users)

Postby Aiko » Fri Nov 10, 2017 4:04 pm

It looks like Amy might be up to something, however she's facing a bit of a problem. You see, I can't let her sink down into that morass yet. She tends to enjoy herself way too much in there and that usually entails getting mud onto parts of herself that aren't yet submerged. I just can't get her to simply stay still and sink. She's really impossible to work with.

Why is that a problem, you ask? Well...

I have yet to figure out a feasible way to get some mud-texture onto her skin. The approach I toyed with in earlier renders does not work well to produce a thin coating of whatever substance she happends to be sinking into (though it's suitable for larger globs), and it also does not work well with animations either because it would basically have to be redone for each frame / pose-change. A nice, convincing coating of mud covering just the areas where it's supposed to be. That's what I need. And that's what Amy needs before she can indulge in the pleasures that bog has to offer. So, my question to fellow Daz people is: How do YOU do it?

(Note that this image may or may not be part of a series that I am working on.)
