Re: Godspeed PM2K
Dave, thank you for sharing this news with us.
Sad news indeed... PM2K is one of the few Quicksanders I got to know really well over the years. He was amongst the first that I would often E-mail back when I discovered Quicksandland on the Internet. We soon became pen pals and wrote to each other often to share what was new in our lives. He was indeed a prolific and very insightful writer... his stories were brilliantly and cleverly written, and they were much more than, "she came, she got stuck, and she sank." His manipulation artwork, "fakes" as he called them, were also beautifully crafted and were full of meaning and inspiration...
he didn't just slap an image with a background... he planned the presentation to be effective. He was also quite active on the various quicksand forums over the years, particularly this one, and he made them such wonderful places to be.
I hadn't heard from PM2K since the end of last December. He'd been busy with life and the E-mails were often far and few between, but his messages would pop up every once in a while when he had time to write and we'd enjoy some quality time through our written correspondence. I also noticed his absense from this great Forum and was going to write him to see how he was doing... now I know why he's been so quiet.
PM2K will most certainly be missed on our fine Forum... and, I'll dearly miss the conversations I had with him.
PM2K, rest in peace, my friend.

Re: Godspeed PM2K
When I first saw the subject title for this thread, I knew that something had happened to PM2K. I hoped this was a thread of people wishing him well for an operation or recovery from an injury, or for a new direction in life that forced him to leave this community. I was quite shocked when I read the first post of this thread, and discovered he had passed away suddenly!
He was always a large part of this community, with his creative fakes and stories. I always liked how he would give his fakes creative, playful captions and filenames, often purposely miss-spelling words to make them unique. He really helped to liven things up here with so many creations and compliments. This community will not be the same without him.
He will be missed by all of us.
My heart goes out to all who will miss him, especially his friends and family.
PM2K, may you rest in peace.

I'm am rather shocked by this news. I've talked to PM2K quiet a few times while I've been here. Even if I didn't know him very well, he was a very sweet guy and fun to talk to, I am very sad to hear of his passing.
You will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace dear friend.
