Words fail.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Words cannot express what an amazing artist he was, and how much he will be missed. He never judged, never a negative comment... He even did such an awesome job on my profile picture. Godspeed, PM2K. :(

Saddened to hear about this and so unexpected as well. My condolences to PM2K's nearest and dearest. :(
Probably one of the most influential people on here as well as always offering encouragement to various projects (inc my own.)
RIP man! You'll be missed dearly.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said, he has been a part of this community for a very long time, and he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

RIP Buddy. :*(

I'm truly at a loss for words. I just want to say thank you to PM2k for all that he has done for us. He was truly a multi-talented creator and there will never be anyone like him.

It's always disturbing to lose someone that has done so much for our community. And at such a young age, 4 years younger than I. To read the obituaries and see what other people wrote about him, certainly shows that he was a great man... not just for us, but for his family, his friends, and his country.

PM2K, you will indeed be missed. I'm just sorry that I never got to know you personally.

He's...gone!? :(

I remember talking with him very briefly about Magnus Robot Fighter a year or two ago...

And if I remember correctly, he was a frequent contributor to the "Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes" thread. I liked seeing him around. He was always active and Sometimes, his comment(s) was the only comment a topic had. Having a reply to their post, even if it was just one, probably meant a lot to someone...

I didn't know him personally, but things just won't be the same without him.

I hope my fellow posters will forgive me for adding a bit more to the paltry words I managed to muster yesterday. His memory deserves justice:

Truthfully, I only began personally communicating with PM2K just about a year ago, having only ever observed his posts as a lurker. In that short time, we exchanged ideas, speculated on potential stories, and even did an exchange for the holidays. He never had anything but positivity to share, and an encouraging word to offer at all times, with an unlimited capacity for high spirits. Yet I would sometimes go a month at a time between contacts for fear that he might become annoyed at my messages and feel as if I was pestering or cyberstalking him like a psychotic fan. Now, hearing ever more positive things about him, I realize that he never would have turned me away, never would have put someone down, and instead I missed out on the opportunity to know someone who indeed was worthy of being known. In an age where the anonymity of the Internet gives rise to armies of trolls and spam wars, he reminded us all that there is nothing stopping us from being kind and polite, and that it is always better to be accepting than rejecting. I wish I had appreciated his kindness more, and I would do anything to let him know how special he really was, and to have said goodbye one last time.

I will always be thankful for the short time we had and the thoughts that we shared, and will always regret never having known him better or conversed more with him. I hope everyone takes this to heart: Don’t wait for things. Make sure you value the people in your lives while they are still here, and cherish every time someone offers a kind and encouraging word. Make sure the people you love and care about know how much they matter to you; never leave it for tomorrow.

He was exceptional in his almost preternatural ability to respond to every post, and always brightly and happily. I once accused him of actually being four different people, and he told me that he had a staff of one: his mischievous alter ego. :)

I still can’t quite believe that we will never again be graced by your wonderful comments on this forum, or hear your encouraging words, or see another of your brilliant stories. We will all be feeling your absence for a long time.

We salute you, Purple Monkey. The forum will never be the same without you, pure and simple. There is no one who will ever fill that gap. But whenever a curious newcomer arrives to the forum, we will be sure to tell them about the indomitable Purple Monkey who made this community what it is. We will never forget you.

Safe journey, my friend.

This is beyond words. I think we should create a new section containing all of his great works. Does anyone else agree?
