This is the thread for both producers and consumers to discuss the benefits and hazards of financial transactions in the adult entertainment world along with best practices for navigating them.
I recall reading occasionally on various forums over many years that the stigma involved with production and consumption of legal adult entertainment leads to higher fees, rejected applications, reduced credit scores, etc., but a Web search found almost no authoritative articles, so this may just be nonsense.
The closest I found was a news article from ten years ago during the financial crisis wherein a credit card company profiled clients based on their supposedly "shady" dealings at various establishments and cut their credit accordingly.
If someone can point to authoritative sources, or can otherwise share words of wisdom, that might benefit everyone.
I know consumers can just use money orders, and producers tend to use innocuous merchant titles for credit card payments, but I am sure there is more to the story.

For the last year I've been using prepaid credit cards purchased off the rack at Wal-Mart and grocery stores. They were once rejected by online vendors but seem to work very well now.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

A good starting point to stay safe, imho, is to have good virus/fraud protection software. If you're browsing and start getting warnings about malware/virus/security issues do NOT give them your financial info.
I use my credit card for almost all purchaes online and off. Never seen what I buy affect my credit score or the account itself. CC will also give you another level of fraud protection.

Any particular brand?
Those usually only work within the United States and not for orders placed with vendors outside the United States.
I know our producers are generally domestic United States, but it is good to know what will work globally.
