I’ve got to say that I like the idea of a Quicksand Festival, especially if the dress code is nude; you’re always prepared for a sink at all times.

How’s this for potential activities:

1) A quicksand dunk tank where fellow fetishists go at each other in two lines. Advised you bring your whole party in case you need to make your farewells right then and there. You also have the option of filming your farewells to send to significant others if they are absent.

Sort of a follow-up to “The Quicksand Report”: a whole bunch of ladies from all around the world—of every race, age, and body type—gather together to try for a world record: largest number of women sinking into one quicksand pit at the same time. Maybe there’s a picnic brunch set up where they can chat and spend time with their families one last time, casually nude. Then, on the hour, they say their final goodbyes, make their way to their designated spots, and pile into the deadly pit. Some kiss and make out, others masturbate, some take it slow, and others rush to the bottom. As in it's still taboo but establishments begin opening that cater to those who desire to sink for pleasure, all of which is legal on the basis of those involved having consented and thus are allowed to do as they wish with their body, even if that involves sinking to their deaths. Trendy clubs being built at areas known for their deep quicksand pits where people do to drink, flirt and watch people sink or sink into some quicksand themselves. People chatting and drinking in the bars around a pool of quicksand while they watch some girls hopping into a pit of mud, solo girls doing it for pleasure, couples jumping in as they submit themselves a romantic sink giving everyone a show as they give themselves to the pool of mud, people casually just stepping in and sinking, a group of girls on a hen night all going in together while the bride to be watches on and gets off while her friends sink to their deaths for her enjoyment.

Where there is commercialization, there needs to be cleanup, so when pits start getting too popular, these companies would need to hire cleanup teams for the pits. So there is the volunteer aspect of signing up for one of these cleanup teams to keep the pits clear of any debris (and to remove bodies in pits that have become too full), which would involve partial or complete submersion while wearing a rescue harness and re-breather. This could also allow for more exploration of alternative sinking poses (ass-up, face-first, all-fours, etc.) and room for scuba play.

Of course, since the majority of sinkers would be women, it would follow that cleanup team volunteers would also be mostly women; after being sunk in a pit like that over and over without succumbing to pleasure, the cleanup teams would eventually either shirk their duties (while being filmed on CCTV, of course) or become the next night's entertainment in a freshly cleaned pit.
