Hurricane season

Saturday morning update:
Lane was downgraded to a tropical storm last night. He has also slowed down even more. The probability is now that he lacks the strength to make landfall and will be pushed away to the west by the prevailing winds. This isn't to say that we won't have some serious blowing, raining, and flooding, but the odds continue to shift in our favor. The scheduled arrival for the worst of it here on Oahu has been pushed back again to sometime this evening. Right now it's gusty, a little drizzly, and the sky is ugly.
