Now to my knowledge there has only been one actor to play both Davy Crocket and Daniel Boone. Who can name him?

Yup, played daniel boone on the tv show. And Davy Crockett in those wonderful world of disney movies.

I ran across this photo of Fess Parker (and Buddy Ebsen) awhile ago. Apparently he was known for his singing as well.

He pretty much became a state hero while shooting Davy Crockett on location here in Tennessee. The scenes of him as a legislator at the State Capitol were shot there as well. Here he is with Walt Disney, his wife Lilian and the guy that play Chief Red Cloud on location.

Loved Davy Crockett and the river pirates. These movies were my first experience with Davy Crockett. My favorite quote from the real life Davy Crockett is when he was addressing congress in hopes to gain support for the Texans in the Alamo. "You can all go to hell, I'm going to Texas"
