Why Quicksand and deep mud?
What is it that draws you to go sinking in deep mud and quicksand? Is it the fantasy aspect where you’re saving a woman in distress? Or do you simply like the feeling that being covered with mud gives you? Does the perceived danger of sinking down deep into the Earth motivate you? What about doing something most others see as being deadly? Or do you do it because main stream society doesn’t approve of such behavior? Could it be the health benefits and the exercise? Just what is it about quicksand that keeps you coming back time and time again???

Can't explain it but it may have to do with conquering my fear of it. As a child (and long after actually) I had a paralyzing fear of quicksand. That being said, I loved playing in mud as a kid. I really enjoyed walking in muddy areas with my tall rubber boots looking for "good spots". Thought it was so cool seeing my feet slowly disappearing. And then working my feet back and forth seeing the heaving of the muck as they went in deeper. I got a enjoyable feeling in my groin I didn't understand at the time. "Cool, I'm in quicksand" I'd say to myself. Obviously there was, and still is, a sexual component to my attraction.

My favorite thing is the squeezing feeling from every side that I get, and the struggle to get out. the risk of getting caught makes it more exciting as well

Re: Why Quicksand and deep mud?
I have always been interested in mud and quicksand. As a kid it was always dramatic fantasies. I didn't realize it turned into a sexual thing until my nightly fantasies involved less guys, more ladies and less clothing. Still primarily on the melodramatic. Sometimes the lady was in the quicksand, I stumbled upon her crying for rescue. Sometimes it was me in the pit. I always loved walking in the local creeks, and I still do as an adult. But instead of looking for muddy patches so I can try and avoid them, I looked for them so I can feel the mud grip me. Whether it was only ankle deep, or thigh deep(The deepest in the mud I have reached) It was always a fun experience. I do want to try a full submersion, but I am not who I once was with. Thanks to MS I can't trust my body anymore

Re: Why Quicksand and deep mud?
For some reason quicksand has never resonated with me. It's always been about clay ... especially clay that has recently been exposed as the water receded. For me, freshly exposed shiny clay is just beckoning to be depth tested.
I think that this is a thing with me because I had an encounter with clay exactly like this when I was like 13-14 yo. I had a blast in it. It was at an abandoned brickyard and I was not alone. My brother (younger) was there and several same-aged neighbor kids. We swam, we had mudball fights. We pretended to be stuck and sinking like in the movies. We only went there once. After that I started taking solo mud adventures. I would sneak out after dark and find knee deep mud where homes where being constructed close to where I lived in Chicago. I do not recall it being a turn-on to me then. I just know that I liked how it felt to be stuck in mud.
My interest in mud lay dormant for many years.
I trout fish and one day I was wading in a muddy creek and I accidentally started to get seriously stuck. I recall thinking that this was something that I needed to be more careful about. Soon after that I almost got stuck again in the waders and I was like, HEY!! Don't F-around with this S-it!
The light still did not go on until I did a search on quicksand and a few sink videos popped up. I was a very surprised. I thought it looked like fun so I started to look for exposed mud. It did not take me long to find some and experience it.
Needless to say, I got hooked on mud sinking.

I personally don't go out of my way to sink. However, I love seeing attractive females sink, especially when they are happy to do so. Though I prefer the more cartoony females, since I find them cuter, I find that a quicksand sink and the messy aftermath makes ALL females look better.

Agrees with quickman on his take of quicksand..It actually use to scare the crap out of me and sometimes still does. First I am fairly strong and not at all a swimmer, I am thinking this is a disadvantage somewhat as I tend to panic in water. For me its the idea of being trapped and trying to get out,not sure if that makes sense, like a struggling challenge. The deepest I have ever been in was up to my chest and that is deep enough for me especially the spots I have been going in. The nicest and funniest thing about it is the mud noises these spots offer, almost like the muck is alive

The scene that started it for me was probably the one from the Neverending Story and the Swamps of Sadness. We had that film on VHS and i have seen that scene maybe a hundred times on my personal VCR. All the years to follow i was searching for a spot that did look like this one. I'm so lucky to have finally found a bog that resembles it about six years ago or so, especially in late fall or winter when the plants have died off and there is foggy weather. I like the desolateness of that place and being lost and far from civilization (in fact that area is not THAT far from civilization and i have encountered traces from hunters a couple times, not having been caught so far

For me, it's about the damsel in distress. Quicksand is such a naughty, sexually charged thing. Visually, the struggling and straining of the damsel. The sounds of the quicksand ordeal. The bog rippling, and farting, combined with the damsel grunting, or moaning.

Yeah I'm with you on that one. Grunting, moaning, straining, struggling, while the mire squelches, bubbles, ripples, quivers... "naughty" and "sexually charged" are both great words for it.
