Hi everybody!

Well, looks like there's not much time left for Paris!

As her beautiful body sinks deeper, she slowly beings to tilt her head and chin up to. Her cries for help get more desperate and frantic as she sinks!
What's a girl to do?
Anyway, the good news is we were up to Frame 6411. Which means we are definitely getting closer.
The bad news is I had to go back and redo some frames.

Specifically, I'll had to go back to frame 5750 and start the simulation again.

What!?!
Why you ask? Well, I won't go into too much detail but as the simulation has progressed, I've noticed the way the girl moves, especially the arms & hands, and the head, and the way the quicksand moves, don't always go together in the best way. Since I animate the girl first, I can't always predict how her movements will affect the quicksand. Now that we've simulated up to this point, I have a much better idea of what the quicksand will do, so I can animate the girl's head to better match what is going on. It will be like she is reacting to what the quicksand does, rather than the other way around.
So, a bit of a setback.

But I think it will be worth it in the end. Assuming nothing else goes wrong, it should only add about 4 extra days of simulation time. Since the simulation has been going for over a month, that's not too bad. Sorry about this.
Ouch! Ouch!

I'm sorry I'm really sorry!
Update: I went back to frame 5750 and re-positioned the girl's head and eyes to frame 6494 for each key frame based on what the quicksand was doing at that time. This should make it look like she's reacting to what the quicksand is doing around her as her arms thrash about as she tries to keep from sinking, as if she's trying to tread water. As I type this, we're at frame 5973. We're averaging about 250-275 frames a day, so the end is in site, but still a ways to go.
Hope you like it!
