A video idea from an old news story.

Hi.

There was an article on this site back on October 3, 2011 that I thought might inspire a video or two. It was listed at the bottom of "Collection of Mud
News" by Billy Bonce. WIth any luck, this will take you to the article.

If not, the article said a young woman sank into some mud, then fell forward and got one arm stuck. Fortunately for her, her cell phone started beaping due to low battery, reminding her she had it. She was able to call for help. By the time help arrived, the cell phone had died, both arms had gotten stuck in the mud, and the only part of her still above the mud was her head.

In my head, I made some changes. Two woman drive to a hotel near a wilderness. They arrive about noon. One wants to rest briefly after the long drive, while the other one decides to check things out a little. She wanders into a swampy area and gets stuck thigh-deep in some mud. She falls forward, perhaps while reaching for a branch, and gets her arm stuck. She's slowing sinking while in a bent-over position, and has no idea what to do.
Fortunately for her, her friend calls her on her cell phone to see where she's wandered off to. The stuck woman explains her predicament. By the time her friend arrives, the stuck woman has got her other arm stuck, and only her head is above the mud. The friend wades into the mud and rescues her.

Since there would be two models present, each could take a turn playing the stuck woman.

I think this scene would work well in MPVBleck, one of the excellent peat bogs used for videos, or in outdoor mud like the stuff used by Jumpoff Joe in "Throw Me a Rope". The muck doesn't have to be real deep, just thick.

This is just an idea. I'm not sure where this type of idea would be posted, so I just stuck it in General Discussion.

From the point of view of a producer it is hard to know what is really wanted here. One option for what is wanted is a documentary or re-enactment of the complete story. Others would be a scene featuring one of the details given. For one example, a scene in which the woman gets one arm stuck and then the other. For another, a scene in which the woman is reminded to use her cell phone in one way o another. For any sort of reply with more detail I think the best place for this post might be the "other producers"area.
