I have parted ways with two 6 speed manual cars over the last few years (I still have a small truck that is manual). I don't miss all the shifting. I had manual transmissions on most of my daily rides going back to '86. So, I had my share.

It's funny though. If I'm really tired, I find my left foot reflexively lifting as I come to stops. Pretty weird.

The last time I drove a slushbox I pulled into work and couldn't get the key out of the ignition. Took me five minutes to remember to put it in park so the interlock would release. :D

Looks great but I think it's overpriced. You can buy this property in Athens for a smaller price. If you ha money would you prefer to buy property or car?

People who can afford a car like this gerally already own property. 8-) You're absolutely right though, as investments go cars are terrible. You drive that $60,000 Vette off the lot, and the minute the tires touch the road it's worth 55k.

And this is one reason why I drive a nine year old Ford Ranger. I spent less and lost a lot less value but it still takes me to work every day. And I don't have to spend $3k on a set of tires.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

And why I drive a 2008 Escort. It gets me where I want to go, so far anyway, and I can shoot a lot of scenes with the savings.

I'll be treating myself to a new Jeep either late this year or early next. The current battle wagon is a 05 TJ I bought new in '06 (got a great deal as a leftover). Put all 175,000 miles on it myself. 8-)
