We had a few snowflakes today. It was mid-60's yesterday though. Great thing about the weather's ability to change so quickly here in the winter is when it does go to crap it doesn't last long.

"Not last long" can mean many things. When I lived in Charlotte, NC, where no one has ever heard of anything called a snow plow, there was a storm once that produced about 9 inches of snow. The entire city was essentially closed completely for five days. A few vehicles could roll through the snow but most could not until it melted. Here in Arkansas they do know about snow plows and they have a few but the tertiary roads pretty much just have to wait until it melts.

For Nessie - Charlie is by far more important. As for the move, seems a horrendous mistake in every way for about 10 reasons. Wish we had not done it at all.

If it's the weather, yes, real winter can be quite a shock. I have always lived in the north so I have never known any other life, but I did visit Arizona yearly for a long time when I had family there. One of my fondest memories of my very first trip down there is of wearing only a bikini top and short-shorts while weeding a rock bed...in February. I thought I was in Heaven.

But you do get used to real winter eventually.

If it's not the weather, I'm sorry to hear it and I do hope you find a way to make this work for you soon.

We had our first snow about a week ago. Didn't last long. For the last 5 years or so daytime temps have stayed in the mid-30's to mid-40's till after the holidays, it don't really get cold around here till January and only stays cold till March. Can't complain, saves on heating oil.
