Re: To those no longer with us....
Greg Kihn, yeah, good music. My cousin, brother, and I used to get together for guitar/drums garage rock sessions (perhaps the most fun I have ever had, only time to really use my Stratocaster), and The Breakup Song was one of our favorites to (somewhat) cover. RIP.

And another musician leaves us.
Jack Russell, Former Great White Singer, Dead at 63

I was not a big fan thought they did have a few good songs. But I will never forget them due to that horrible club fire. If you have never seen it then here's the full video in real time. No editing so warning to ya: https://youtu.be/rO0ioCCiEe8
The camera man survived only because he started for the exit early before people jammed the exit while others who did not thought it was a part of the show and stayed longer. The band bailed out the back door before it was block by fire.
Jack Russell, Former Great White Singer, Dead at 63
Jack Russell, one of the founding members of Eighties band Great White, has died. He was 63. In a social media post Thursday, Russell’s family announced that the glam metal singer died “peacefully” surrounded by his family and friends. Russell died of Lewy body dementia and multiple system atrophy, his memoir co-author K.L. Doty confirmed to Rolling Stone.
“Jack is loved and remembered for his sense of humor, exceptional zest for life, and unshakeable contribution to rock and roll where his legacy will forever thrive,” read the statement. “His family asks for privacy at this time.”

As someone who grew up in the Chicago suburbs, Phil Donahue is remembered as nearly a household name (I didn't realize his show was syndicated).
Man that was a long time ago.

The fact that I knew who Donahue was, and most people I know under 40 do not, reminded me of my own mortality.
His show was huge downunder in the 80s and 90s.

20 years of Phil, from what feels to me like a 100 years ago. I can't even remember him with dark hair.

I thought he was good in Time Tunnel. It was one of my favorite shows growing up (although I had a crush on Lee Meriwether’s character, Dr. MacGregor). RIP.
