It might be mentioned that the giant bat scene in Tarzan Escapes was not left on the cutting room floor. Some copies still existed at least into the early '60's as I definitely saw that scene on television when I was young and I can still remember some of it quite vividly including the screams of the natives that got picked up by the giant bats.
From the perspective of a mud fetishist, there really isn't very much we're missing in the lost scene as the group is just standing around in muddy water crouching low when the bats swoop down and then suddenly these friendly pygmies show up and then the next thing you know they're outside the cave.

Has anyone ever seen a behind the scenes feature of how they did the Flash Gordon (1980s) quicksand scene? Think it's a very good scene IMO
